Comfortable & sustainable workwear fabrics made of green fibres

Tecawork^® Ecogreen^® is a range of fabrics for workwear that are not only more sustainable, but also take wearer comfort to a higher level – a unique combination.

To meet the demand for environmentally friendly workwear at any budget, TenCate Protective Fabrics has developed a line of comfortable and sustainable fabrics with a much lower environmental impact. Our fabrics are made with sustainably sourced fibres such as TENCEL^™ Lyocell, ethically sourced cotton, and mechanically recycled polyester from PET bottles.

These fabrics also have excellent moisture-regulating properties. The fabrics are strong, have high mechanical properties, and come with excellent colour retention capabilities, ensuring long-lasting looks even after repeated industrial laundering.

The highest quality and most comfortable workwear with the smallest environmental footprint possible: this is the ambitious objective we’ve set for ourselves with Tecawork^® Ecogreen^®.

Substantiating our claims

To clearly and evincible substantiate our claims we created an Environmental Product Declaration document (EPD^®).

An EPD^® – also referred to as a type III Declaration – is an independently verified and registered document which provides transparent and comparable information about the environmental performance of a product.

It includes for example the impacts associated with the production, such as raw material acquisition, energy use and efficiency, the content of materials and chemical substances, emissions to air, soil and water and waste generation.

Green fibres

We manufacture the fabrics entirely from 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell from sustainable sourced wood, 100% mechanically recycled polyester from PET bottles, and ethically sourced cotton.*

Safe & certified components

We assure that for our fabrics, we only use safe and certified materials. It guarantees the sourcing of the materials we use, it also assures that the fabrics are free of hazardous components.

Better moisture regulation
Very comfortable: thanks to the Tencel™ Lyocell fibre, perspiration is immediately absorbed in the fabric, up to 50% more compared to cotton. The strongly improved moisture-regulating capacity speeds up vaporation to the air. It keeps the skin cooler and drier. It also slows down the growth of bacteria. The result: more comfortable and hygienic workwear.
Soft & flexible
The fabric has a smooth surface and is flexible: it feels more pleasant to the skin.

Durable

Tecawork^® Ecogreen^® fabrics are durable, strong and industrially washable: professional industrial laundries require quality fabrics that stay in a good condition throughout their lifespan. TenCate Protective Fabrics wants to meet these requirements. We test our fabrics extensively.
