Innovation close to your skin
The thermal barrier is the only fabric layer to come in direct contact with the firefighter’s body. This gives the thermal barrier a very unique function, with unique requirements.
Our thermal barriers are often a blend of para and/or meta-aramid fibres with flame resistant viscose to provide extra moisture management.
These barriers provide excellent wicking properties, so sweat can disperse and dry more quickly and prevents steam burns on the body.
