The research project
Colour is key for our protective fabrics. We offer a wide variety of colours on all kind of fabrics. Not only the specific colour should be accomplished, but also retaining the colour after multiple washes. In this assignment you will investigate how well the dyeing facility at our laboratory translates to our full scale facility in our plant. You will investigate different dyeing recipes on all kinds fabrics. These fabrics serves protection levels from light workwear to heavy industrial and emergency response. This will secure that we can provide the desired colour or the required high visibility colour to the professionals who counts on protection of our fabrics. Together we determine the research scope.
Personal characteristics & a profile we love to see
To ensure a great match to our company culture, we are looking for someone who:
- Takes ownership of the project;
- Someone who likes to go in depth and is curious about how things work;
- You are independent, structured and you can work accurately;
- You show initiative, are proactive, critical, and stress resistant;
- You have good written and oral communication skills in English. In addition, Dutch is a plus;
- You are currently a Bachelor or Master student in the field of Technical Textiles or Chemical engineering. Basic knowledge of dyestuff, fibers and dye processes is a pre;
- Your office location is in Nijverdal, The Netherlands.
Duration
We are seeking someone who is currently looking for a thesis research and can start in September 2022. The duration of this paid internship opportunity is 6 to 10 months, depending on the research scope.
